Nanowrimo
This is a wierd word; one which even I hadn't heard till a friend told me. So, what I'm going to do is put you in contact with the basics from other sites.
(From the Wiki files)
National Novel Writing Month, shortened as NaNoWriMo (na-noh-RY-moh), is an annual internet-based creative writing project that takes place every November. NaNoWriMo challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a new novel between November 1 and 30. Despite its name, it accepts entries from around the world. The goal of NaNoWriMo is to get people writing, no matter how bad the writing is, through the end of a first draft. The idea is that many people are scared to start writing because it won't be any good, and if there's a time to celebrate length, rather than quality, more people will write an entire first draft, which they can then proceed to edit if they wish.
For more information, please check out this site: http://nanowrimo.org/
Using the basics of this event, we would like to organize something similar on a smaller scale. The word limit being kept at 600-900 words, and the time being shortened to a fortnight, we allow you to write a short story on any lines, and any genre.
You can contact us on our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/writer.foundation and can post your entries on the page itself or as a message. We will put all of these up here to read.
Awaiting your response.

Some reasons to start writing
Need some motivation to get started? Here are five good reasons to write:
Write...
1) to express yourself.
Share the best of yourself. Cut through the small talk and the chatter
to what's important; express the secret feelings and perceptions that
don't fit into polite conversation. Show your personal vision of the
world, which is unique.
2) to entertain yourself.
Writing is a challenge, an adventure. When you're in the thick of it,
you can feel thoroughly absorbed. Write to add color, excitement, and
meaning to your days.
3) to keep yourself company.
You
never have to feel lonely as long as you can write. Writing is a
conversation -- with yourself, with your future reader, with the books
that have inspired you. You can also create characters who come alive in
your imagination.
4) to live other lives.
In real life,
there are limits. In your writing, you can be anyone or anything. You
can try on different lives, become a different person for a while,
transport yourself to another place or time.
5) to touch other people.
Offer your writing as a gift to others. Your writing can move people,
make them feel intense emotions, keep them up all night passionately
turning pages. You can create characters to keep them company. You can
make their lives richer and more beautiful.

My Smile
I do everything they want, they smile;
I do as per their wish, they smile;
Their happiness allows me the moment to be ecstatic,
And then I smile.
And then comes the moment which they all wait expectantly for,
And it all comes to that.
All those happy moments, forgotten,
All those pleasurable memories, erased,
And all that remains is that predicament.
Criticism swallows me,
Anger disrupts me,
Sadness envelopes me,
And what I cannot do is smile.
